There wasn't much mist out today, but the trees were many different Autumn colours of red, orange and yellow. The day was cool, but not as cold as Autumn days usually were. The temperatures on the island were getting warmer and warmer. It was only a matter of time before Winter was lost on the island forever.
While Acelia sat and enjoyed the warm Autumn day, she thought about the newest addition of her pack - a small pup by the name of Faolan. The pup was lost in the woods one day, when Acelia and Jay found him. Faolan had said his father told him to go and find wolves who lived together, before the father died. So, that was what Faolan did, and he ended up living with Auryn. Usually, wolves didn't join a pack once they were loners or rogues, but Acelia wouldn't let the homeless pup suffer in the wilderness by itself.
Silently, Acelia wondered how he would fit in with the rest of the pack, and if he would ever be fully trusted by all of the wolves of Auryn.

The little pup had fulfilled his father's last wish. He'd finally reached the other wolves on this warm little island. He'd managed to find people who would take him in. Yet he knew nothing of these wolves. All different breeds, different colours, different personality and different packs. There was only one type of wolf, colour and pack where the little pup came from, and the weather he was so much warmer, the pup found himself having to lay down ever few hours or so, just because the heat tired him out so.
The pup found himself on this rather warm 'Autumn' day, wondering the supposedly misty pathways of the 'Misty Forest' yet no matter how much the pup searched, looked and sniffed he failed to find anything but small clouds of mist everyone now and then, so thin they were almost impossible to see, smell, taste and sense. Yet he could just feel them there, even if he couldn’t fully see them. He slowly moved deeper into the forest, further and further, probably a little further then he should have. However the trees had the ball of fur entranced. They colours were so bright, so elegant, yet so fragile. He had heard his ‘Father’ talk of a ‘Season’ called ‘Autumn’ in which, trees, flowers and everything became this beautiful. Little Faolan had simply cast it off as a fairy tale, thinking it impossible that such things could happen, not knowing of the world outside the snow.
He bent his head upwards, to stare up the towering trees, watching as the occasional leaf found its way from the top of the leafy forest, to the grassy and once misty floor. However, the heat had begun to take its toll on the poor fluffy Faolan; he would have to find some rest under a shady tree somewhere. They to his surprise saw another wolf, lounging beneath what seemed a nice tree, shady and colorful. Yet from what he could see of the wolf it reminded him all too well of someone. Even the slightest memory he had of her, it reminded him of his... ‘Mother’.
Without thinking, the pup leaped forward, landing a few metres in front of the wolf. He spoke before he thought, and he probably made an absolute fool of his tiny self. He spoke the word for mother to the wolf.“ Taswyl!” Then he actually saw who the wolf was. You could suggest that it was his mother, yet he did not think of her like that yet. He saw ‘Acelia’ more of a guardian then a Mother at the moment. Embarrassed the little wolf, lowered himself to the ground, covering his eyes with his paws. “Oh, it’s you Acelia. Sorry..” [/size][/b]

Faolan quickly said something in a language that Acelia couldn’t understand, then he lowered himself on to the ground and apologised to the bigger wolf. That was the second time the young pup spoke in a foreign language. It made Acelia wonder where he had been born and raised, because he didn’t seem like he was born near the packs.
“It’s alright, Faolan.” she nodded, curling her tail around her paws. The Alphess stared out into the misty forest curiously. No wolf knew where the mist came from, but most of the time it was just there. It wasn’t a safe place for pups to wander around in. They could easily get lost in the misty surroundings, and might accidently intrude on another pack or wolf’s territory. Acelia wondered what to speak of next. She didn’t want to say the pup should go back to the dens, after all, it was natural that he wanted to explore his new territory. It might have been weird for him to be living around so many wolves. Maybe she could ask him about how pack life was. That seemed like a harmless subject.
“So, how are you adjusting to pack life?” Acelia asked, looking back at the newest wolf of Auryn.

The tongue of the Arctic was a strange one, even the little pup knew that. It was only know to a few wolves these days, so 'Father' had said. It made the pup shudder to think that he may be the only one still able to speak it. 'Father and Mother' were the only two wolves he knew to speak it. Perhaps he'd teach it to his pups one day. Although in his little head, the pup couldn't see past tonight's dinner as for having pups. The pup's head shot up, and he sniffed the air.
He loved the smell of the Autumn forest, he just wished it was colder, it was much too hot for Autumn. The leaves drifted from the canopy and slowly fell to the ground. Faolan looked into Acelia's eyes, head tilted a little to the left. She did remind him of his mother a little too much. Yet that was another thing the pup would have to get use to. The heat and the look of everyone. Taking in a deep breath he stretched his front paws out in front of him, his back legs placed either-side of his tail. His tail was pulled in under him, it was still the only part of his body that got cold even in the warmest of weather.
"Everyone here is packed so close together. Up in the Eternal Winter, everyone was like a pack, but we were spread out. This pack seems very close....I think some of the wolves don't trust me." The Eternal Winter was of course the Arctic, the wolf referred to it as so, because it was always cold. He sighed a little, flopping to the ground, then rolling onto his back, pawing at the air. The temperature of this island was something that Faolan hadn't been through before."It's so hot!"
The pup was a little fed up it seemed. [/b][/blockquote] (OOC: Lucky I reminded you then eh?)

| [atrb=background,http://i51.tinypic.com/1zzke3l.jpg][scrolly:h(232),w(340),sy] “I’m sure the pack will trust you more over time.” Acelia reassured the pup, hoping that her words were true. It was pretty rare a pack took in an outsider. Most of the pack members were one hundred percent Auryn, without any loner or Denali descendants. But what was Acelia supposed to do? Auryn was the only pack he could join. Denali would kill or drive off Faolan in an instant if he intruded upon their lands, looking for a home. There were no other packs like Auryn and Denali on the island, so Faolan had nowhere else to go.
“It is pretty hot for autumn. Just wait until summer, it’s even more hot then! Every year the days get hotter...” Acelia added sadly. “We’ll just have to adapt to it.”
The weather of the island was getting hotter as the year went on. Every wolf knew that. Sometimes it was a good thing though. Without a freezing cold winter, prey would be more plentiful. The wolves would adapt to the warmer weathers, hopefully. ______________________________

Cirrocco lifted his head, blinking his dark amber eyes. The sleek red wolf wondered about the young cub. He wasn't exactly one for trusting, but a mere pup could do no harm. Besides, he used to be an outsider too, and he still remembered those days. Pain and sorry and longing to be accepted. Perhaps he shouldn't wonder so much, just accept. Alas, if only he could do that.
The male wolf stepped forward, mist slipping in silky tendrils, a cool brush of water against his face. He nodded slightly towards the pup, and there was a question in his eyes as he looked towards Acelia. With a jolt, he wondered if he had been rude to interrupt. Maybe they had been talking about something important! Cirocco shook his head, closing his eyes momentarily. A sudden feeling of awkwardness burst into him, streaming into him like a thousand fractured colours. He winced, and took several steps back.
"I hope I didn't interrupt anything? Sorry, sorry, I'll go now if you want." Cirocco said hastily, prepared to leave that moment. A thought trailed across his mind, but he quickly shook it away, certain that that especially would do no good. At all.
