Curling white tendrils of mist snaked through the jagged outline of the trees. Dry brown and yellow leaves rustled darkly. A slender, dark shape slipped through the trees, face obscured by pearly translucent mist. The form made the shape of a European Wolf. Deep amber eyes glowed, with spices of red and gold. The wolf padded silently, fur ruffled. A creamy white belly with a dark red back and face, tainted with granite gray speckles. A rich ebony created a ring around the wolf's neck, and a faint stripe down his tail that darkened into a large black tail tip. Cirocco snorted, sniffing at the cold earth. His ears twitched at the harsh call of a black raven. Swiping a pink tongue around his lips, Cirocco continued forward, ready to travel and find food to fill the gnawing hunger in his belly. Annoyance twinged as his paws splashed into freezing dark water. The male hated the cold and wet.
